Dual Step Down Power Supply SMPS Controller using MAX17031

This is very simple electronic circuit project of dual step-down power-supply (smps) controller circuit using the MAX17031. Dual step-down power-supply (SMPS) controller can be designed a very simple high efficiency power supply circuit with synchronous rectification, intended for main 5V/3.3V power generation in battery-powered systems. Dual Step-Down Power-Supply (SMPS) Controller Circuit Diagram: Low-side MOSFET sensing provides a simple low-cost, highly efficient current sense for valley current-limit protection. Combined with the output overvoltage and undervoltage protection features, this current limit ensures robust output supplies. The device includes independent shutdown controls with well-defined logic thresholds to simplify power-up and power-down sequencing. To prevent current surges at startup, the internal voltage target is slowly ramped up from zero to the final target over a 1ms period. The Max17031 can be used in applications like : Notebook Computers , Ultra-Mobile P...

Rain Detector using SCR 106CY

Rain Detector using SCR 106CY This circuit uses a sensor made of a small piece of circuit board and recorded a simple SCR circuit to detect rain and sound of a bell. The SCR could also be used to activate a relay, light a lamp, or send a signal to a security system. 1. The sensor is a small piece of PC board etched to the pattern showen in the schematic. The traces should be very close to each other, but never touching. A large spiral pattern would also work. 2. Make sure to use a loud buzzer.

Fire Alarm using NE555 and temperature sensor

This is a simple series of fire alarms. In this series used NE555 timer and temperature sensor to detect high temperatures. The working principle of this temperature sensor that is when the temperature is high around the sensor then there is resistance on the sensor to be small.  However if the low temperature then the resistance will be high. If the resistance of small sensors, the voltage supply will be able to flow past the sensor and activate the transistor. IC1 NE555 as a regulator of the audio frequency. Transistors 1 and 2 are used as a driver IC1. Output (pin 3) of IC1 would trigger a transistor base T3 (SL100), which drives the speaker to produce sound the alarm. Frequency NE555 depending on resistance values of R5 and R6 and the capacitance sensor C2 temperature. When the temperature gets hot, would provide a low resistance so that supply voltage can flow into the base of transistor T1 through a diode D1 and R2. Capacito...
