Video Amplifier Circuit Diagram

The video amplifier in the diagram is a well-known design. Simple, yet very useful, were it not for the ease with which the transistors can be damaged if the potentiometers (black level and signal amplitude) are in their extreme position. Fortunately, this can be obviated by the addition of two resistors. If in the diagram R3 and R4 were direct connections, as in the original design, and P1 were fully clockwise and P2 fully anticlockwise, such a large base current would flow through T1 that this transistor would give up the ghost.  Video Amplifier Circuit Diagram  Moreover, with the wiper of P2 at earth level, the base current of T2 would be dangerously high. Resistors R3 and R4 are sufficient protection against such mishaps, since they limit the base currents to a level of not more than 5 mA. Shunt capacitor C4 prevents R4 having an adverse effect on the amplification. Author: L.A.M. Prins Copyright: Elektor Electronics

DIGITAL AUDIO VIDEO INPUT SELECTOR

Need to connect more than one audio-video (AV) source to your colour television? Don’t worry, here’s an AV input expander for your TV. It is inexpensive and easy to construct. The working of the circuit is simple and straightforward. Whenever 12V DC is applied to the circuit, power-on LED1 glows. Now reset the decade counter by momentarily pressing switch S2 to make Q0 output of IC1 high. LED2 glows to indicate that the circuit is ready to work.Switch S1 is used for selecting a particular audio-video (AV) signal. To select the first AV signal, press switch S1 once. To select the second AV signal, press switch S1 twice. In the same way, you can select the other two signals. DIGITAL AUDIO/ VIDEO INPUT SELECTOR CIRCUIT DIAGRAM Momentarily pressing of switch S1 once results in clocking of the decade counter and relay driver transistor T1 conducts to energise relay RL1. Now normally opened (N/O) contacts of two-changeover relay RL1 connect the television set’s inputs to the first AV signal ...

Simple Video Line Driver Circuit Diagram

This is a Simple Video Line Driver Circuit Diagram. This circuit is a video line driver specifically intended for use with a single-ended power supply. As a matter of fact, the synchronised outputs of a line driver for composite-video signals go negative with respect to ground. In order to be able to process these negative signals in a circuit powered from a single-ended supply, it is necessary to AC-couple the input of the opamp as well as level-shift the signal in the positive direction. Circuit diagram : Video Line Driver Circuit Diagram The input is terminated into a 75 Ω resistor (R1). From here, the signal passes through AC-coupling capacitor C2 and is applied to potential divider R2-R3, which provides the necessary DC-offset. The shift into the positive direction amounts to +1.7 V, with the values shown in the schematic. To avoid any misunderstandings we should add that this value is fairly critical. Deviating from the values shown can lead to distortion in the complementary inp...

SEMICONDUCTOR FMS6363 LOW COST VIDEO FILTER ELECTRONIC DIAGRAM

SEMICONDUCTOR FMS6363 LOW COST VIDEO FILTER ELECTRONIC DIAGRAM The FMS6363 Low Cost Video Filter (LCVF) provides 6dB gain from input to  output. In addition, the input will be slightly offset to optimize the output driver performance. The FMS6363 provides an internal diode clamp to support AC-coupled input signals. If the input signal does not go below ground, the input clamp will not operate. This allows DAC outputs to directly drive the FMS6363 without and AC coupling capacitor (usually 220 ?F). The offset is held to the minimum required value to decrease the standing DC current into the load.
