Colour Sensor Circuit

Colour Sensor Circuit diagram is an interesting project for hobbyists. The circuit can sense eight colours, i.e. blue, green and red (primary colours); magenta, yellow and cyan (secondary colours); and black and white. The circuit is based on the fundamentals of optics and digital electronics. Colour Sensor Circuit diagram : Colour Sensor  Circuit Diagram The object whose colour is required to be detected should be placed in front of the system. The light rays reflected from the object will fall on the three convex lenses which are fixed in front of the three LDRs. The convex lenses are used to converge light rays. This helps to increase the sensitivity of LDRs. Blue, green and red glass plates (filters) are fixed in front of LDR1, LDR2 and LDR3 respecti ely. When reflected light rays from the object fall on the gadget, the coloured filter glass plates determine which of the LDRs would get triggered. The circuit makes use of only ‘AND’ gates and ‘NOT’ gates. When a primary colo...

Simple Temperature Sensor Arduino

Today I am going to show you how to build a simple temperature sensor using one LM35 Precision Temperature Sensor and Arduino, so you can hookup on your future projects. The circuit will send serial information about the temperature so you can use on your computer, change the code as you will. I’m planning to build a temperature sensor with max/min + clock + LCD, and when I get it done, I will post here. Parts: Arduino (You can use other microcontroller, but then you will need to change the code). LM35 Precision Centigrade Temperature Sensor, you can get from any electronic store. Here is the DATA SHEET. BreadBoard Assembling: This is a quick and simple step. Just connect the 5V output from arduino to the 1st pin of the sensor, ground the 3rd pin and the 2nd one, you connect to the 0 Analog Input. Down goes some pictures that may help you, click to enlarge: Here is the Arduino Code, just upload it and check the Serial Communication Option. You can also download the .pde HERE. /* An...

Simple Relay Output Proximity Sensor Circuit

This is the Simple Relay Output Proximity Sensor Circuit Diagram. In This Circuit Ql is used as an oscillator around 300 kHz. R9 is set so that the oscillator just begins to run. An object ne ar the antenna will load the circuit down, and stop the oscillations. This is detected by buffer Q2, diodes Dl and D2, and this activates relay driver Q4, which operates the relay.  Simple Relay Output Proximity Sensor Circuit Diagram

Pressure sensor MPX4100

The pressure sensor (MPX4100) MPX4100 is a pressure sensor that is equipped with signal conditioning circuit and temperature calibrator makes this sensor stable against temperature changes. For this sensor measurement accuracy using micro-machine techniques, thin film metalization and bipolar semiconductor process. With the signal conditioning circuit, this sensor can connect direct on Analogue to Digital Converter. Signal conditioning circuit generate analog voltage with Full Scale (Full Scale) to 5 Volt. This sensor has the ability to detect the pressure of 15 to 115 kilo Pascal and work under pressure difference between P1 and P2. P1 or Pressure Side consists of gel fluorisilicone that protect it from the objects hard. Pressure sensors on robotic applications are often used as feedback mechanic in which the system microcontroller can detect mechanical condition at the time it. For example to detect strong or weak grip of the robo...

Temperature and Humidity Sensor

Temperature and humidity sensors used are SHT75. This sensor is a chip that can measure temperature and humidity as well. The use of these sensors with consideration of its small size and reliability. The output of this sensor has the form of digital data in the chip because it has been there for a 14bit ADC. Temperature measurement range between -40-123,8 º C and humidity between 0-100% Rh. Measurement accuracy reaches ± 0.3 per increase of 25 º C for temperature and ± 1.8% RH for humidity. Temperature and humidity sensor The default measurement resolution of this sensor is 14 bits to 12 bits and temperature sensors for humidity sensors, can also use only 12 bit resolution and 8 bits.

Fire Alarm using NE555 and temperature sensor

This is a simple series of fire alarms. In this series used NE555 timer and temperature sensor to detect high temperatures. The working principle of this temperature sensor that is when the temperature is high around the sensor then there is resistance on the sensor to be small.  However if the low temperature then the resistance will be high. If the resistance of small sensors, the voltage supply will be able to flow past the sensor and activate the transistor. IC1 NE555 as a regulator of the audio frequency. Transistors 1 and 2 are used as a driver IC1. Output (pin 3) of IC1 would trigger a transistor base T3 (SL100), which drives the speaker to produce sound the alarm. Frequency NE555 depending on resistance values of R5 and R6 and the capacitance sensor C2 temperature. When the temperature gets hot, would provide a low resistance so that supply voltage can flow into the base of transistor T1 through a diode D1 and R2. Capacito...

Dual Sensor 555 Timer Alarm

This electronic circuit is a very nice and simple alarm circuit that is based on the 555 timer integrated circuit. This alarm circuit can be used with many types of sensors like : light or temperature sensors. As you can see below some types of sensors that can be connected at this type of alarm circuit ( darkness , light , cold and heat sensor ). If the sensor detects that the temperature or light is outside of the desired range the alarm will be activated .By turning the  potentiometer from the base of Q1  you will modify the sensibility of the sensor . When the alarm is activated the Q2 transistor acts as an audio amplifier and speaker driver for the 16 ohms speaker . This alarm circuit require a 12 volts DC power supply circuit .

Water Tank Level Meter Sensor

The water-tank level meter de-scribed here is very simple and useful for monitoring the water level in an overhead tank (OHT). The water level at 30cm intervals is monitored and continuously indicated by LEDs ar-ranged in a meter-format. When all the LEDs are ‘off’, it indicates that the OHT is empty. When the water level reaches the top limit, the whole LED-meter begins to flash. The height at which the level-sensing electrodes are fitted is adjustable. Thus, the minimum and maximum level settings may be varied as desired. The range of the meter can also be enlarged to cater to any level. No special or critical components are used. CMOS ICs are used to limit the idle current to a minimum level.   Even when all the LEDs are ‘on’, i.e. water reaches the top level, the demand on the power supply is reasonably low. Further, the extremely high input resistance of the Schmitt inverter gates reduces the input current and thus minimises the erosion of electrodes. The princi-pal part of...
